Description
Extruded polystyrene is a denser, closed-cell board than expanded EPS. The closed cell structure means it barely absorbs water and it holds compressive strength, which is why it is the board specified under slabs and in wet or loaded positions where EPS would not survive.

Where to use it
Under-slab insulation, perimeter and foundation insulation, cool rooms, and any position where the board will be loaded or exposed to moisture.
